Title: YOUniverse
I made this artwork for our Intro to Philosophy and Color Theory classes. This is made using Ibis Paint X in my phone.
Description: The problem of personal identity lies in the authenticity of who we truly are. It poses the question of what makes you, YOU. It can be quite complicated to answer this question because it does not have an absolute answer. In my opinion, the word universe is an extension of the word “you”. Hence, the title “YOUniverse”. Applying this concept, you are an extension of the universe the same way that the universe is an extension of you. This artwork showcases the problem of personal identity by illustrating what we truly are— and that is the universe. For the human part of the artwork, the color of the skin is mainly orange. This is to signify that the human body/self is the creative expression of the universe which is also us. Additionally, the dominant color of this artwork is blue to represent the depth of the topic of the self. Elements such as the moon and the ocean are also present. Both represent the simultaneous concept of being everything and nothing at all of the self. Just like the moon, it does not identify itself with the phases it goes through. The same way the ocean remains the ocean even after its ebbs and flows. I think that we are here in this world to simply be. We are here to freely express ourselves without boxing our identity into one single concept. The problem of personal identity is not knowing the thing that truly defines who we are. But from the many existential crises and struggle to find an answer, what can truly set us free from this problem is accepting that we are nothing. Not one thing defines us. You can never really pinpoint a specific thing and say that it's what makes you, you. Through accepting that you are nothing, all of the boundaries will break, including the finitude of yourself. With this, it allows you to welcome endless possibilities of your own life. You become everything. Looking forward to experiencing the mysteries. From trying to reach a destination, you become the journey itself. Going with the flow. BEING the flow. You are the universe; know, accept & deeply feel that you are simultaneously nothing and everything all at once.
Title: A Cosmic Revelation
For our 21st Century Literature class, we were tasked to create and design our own poem. It was a collaborated project with our Typography & Layout class related to our topic about Text formatting. I used Ibis Paint X on my phone for the illustration part. Then, I used Adobe Illustrator to format my texts. Lastly, for the finishing touches, I used Picsart.
Title: Zsa Zsa Zaturnnah Ze Animated Movie Poster
For This was done for our 21st Century Literature class. We needed to make an animated movie poster based from the comic book Ang Kagila-gilagis na Pakikipagsapalaran ni Zsa Zsa Zaturnnah by Carlo Vergara. What's thrilling about this output is how our 21st Literature teacher, Sir Aran, got noticed by the creator of the comic book, Mr. Vergara.
